Kanagawa Arts Foundation was founded in October 1993 with the aim of making Kanagawa a cradle of new cultural assets. It is responsible for the management of prefectural cultural facilities, and endeavours to provide the citizens of Kanagawa Prefecture with many opportunities to appreciate high-quality art works. Since its establishment it has promoted its activities by focusing on the Kanagawa Arts Festival. It aims to facilitate the creation and diffusion of various art forms including music, theatrical performances, dance and modern art.
