Hedmark Theatre was established in 1987 and was given the status of a regional theatre company in 1995. Its artistic expression is rooted in its local surroundings, and the company experiments with combining professionals and amateurs in its performances. Its administration is based in Hamar but the theatre is a touring theatre and has no regular performing venue. In addition to producing theatre perfomances it also offers services such as production consultancy, script development and scenography, alongside organising seminars and courses in various theatre techniques. Hedmark Theatre presents performances for both children and adults.
